Any outdoor items that you have available to donate would be huge blessing to someone in need of a helpful hand.
Helpful Hands Inc. is a Christian organization that helps people get back on their feet and connect with God. We do this by teaching people who they are and what they can do with God's help. We do this by taking people through life changing courses which are spirituall, mentally, and physically challenging. We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
-Provide supervised housing, food, and transportation for people dealing with substance addictions and mental illnesses.
1) Locate, purchase, renovate and staff suitable property.
2) Purchase vehicle and employ drivers to transport clients to
12 step meetings
and doctor appointments.
3) Purchase food an employ nutritionist to cook to prepare
meals.
-Help clients develop skills that will ease the transition into living independently
1) Life skill classes will be given to better equip clients to live
on their own
2) Employment skills classes will be fiven in order to help
clients find employment.
3) Clients will be given assessment test in order to help them
discover some arts and hobbies as a positive outlook to
occupy thier time and stay mentally fit.
4) Instruct and provide clients with supplies for arts and crafts
5) Provide equipment and supervision to clients in order to
establish ways to stay physically fit.
6) Take clients through a series of adventurous rope courses
to better develop trusting and interacting skills.
-Help locate permanent housing and provide aftercare.
1) Help clients develop a working budget.
2) Help clients find perment housing.
3) Provide clients with aftercare to help insure independence.
4) Provide clients with additional transportation to 12 step
meetings, doctor appointments, workplace and grocery
store.
